What you earn

Launch a token and you earn half of every trading fee it ever pays, on the curve and in the pool afterwards. You do not have to hold any of it.

While the token is on its curve

Every buy and sell pays 1%, and half of that is yours. It is credited to you per token as the trade settles, in MNT, and sits there until you claim it.

On a curve that fills to a $15,000 market cap, total volume through the curve is at least the threshold, so the creator's share is at least 0.5% of that. More if people trade back and forth on the way up, because every one of those trades pays too.

After it graduates

The Uniswap position created at graduation is recorded against you, and it earns the pool's 1% on every swap for as long as the token trades. Half of that is yours, with no end date. The liquidity is locked forever, which also means the fee stream it produces has nothing to expire.

These fees arrive in two currencies rather than one. A swap that pays in wrapped MNT credits wrapped MNT; a swap the other way credits the token itself. Both show up separately when you claim.

One difference worth knowing: pool fees do not become claimable on their own. Uniswap credits the position silently, and somebody has to call collect to book it. Anyone can, the call takes no arguments beyond the token, and it pays whoever is owed rather than whoever called.

You do not need to hold the token

The claim follows the address that launched it, not a balance. You can launch a token, buy none of it, sell everything you did buy, and still earn on every trade after that.

What you do not earn

Nothing from the liquidity itself. The 300 million tokens and the reserves that go into the pool at graduation are locked, so they are not an asset you can withdraw, borrow against, or sell. What you have is a claim on the fees they generate.

There is also no allocation, no team share, and no unlock. If you want tokens, you buy them like everyone else.
